Audi introduced the Self-Steering Concept Q7 – CES 2017

Technology

Audi and Nvidia are working intensively on a self-steering and self-assured intelligent car of the future, and this concept will be presented at this year’s CES. The main information to the vehicle comes with a front camera with a resolution of 2 mega pixels, and real-time data is processed on a central computer manufactured by Nvidia, which is small in size and has power more than 150 modern notebooks. That’s exactly what the intelligence of the Audi and Nvidia works on.

All information’s, decisions and procedures are processed in the system, which through its algorithms, makes conclusions and moves in the newly emerging situations, and shares new knowledge with other drivers. This new technology will be implemented for the first time and will be included in the production version of the fourth generation of the A8 (D5) model, which will have the option of self-steering over traffic jams and driving in a column.
