Geneva 2018: Porsche announce their fully electric Crossover the Porsche Mission-E Cross Turismo
This is the first concept electric vehicle in this specific segment that was ever showed by the German car manufacturer Porsche, and they announced his production next year.
Porsche’s President – Oliver Blume describe the new Sport Utility Vehicle, fully electric powertrain model as a car that “will merge the design of the Porsche Mission E with the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo combining their off-road capabilities”.
Design of the Porsche Mission-E
They said that one of the difference from its predecessor the Porsche Mission E concept presented back in late 2015 is his off-road look, like the front bigger bumper and the side trims. Other parts are typical Porsche style and designed with carbon fiber roof top, led headlights and tail lights with fully interior led light cabin. Beautiful leather, four sporty specially designed seats with nice finished stitching. The practical luggage compartment got the rail system with adjustable belts in order to store bigger things.
Like all other Porsche vehicle this new Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo has a soft touch materials in the interior of the dashboard, high quality soft touch leather with combining white, blue and black color. It has a multi-functional leather steering wheel with LED front display serve as an instrument cluster, big front panel info display where all the gadgets are used to control the features for the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo.
Technology and Performance used for the Porsche Mission E
The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo uses the same technologies from its predecessor the Mission E, the performance is equally impressive with acceleration from 0-100 kilometers per hour it can achieved in just 3.5 seconds, and the top speed of 250 km/h. They said that the drive range would be more than 500 kilometers, in perfect condition with one charge. The Mission-E delivers power-output of 600 hp and 900 Nm of torque which is quite fun for the enthusiasts willing to drive this specific electric crossover.
The powertrain on the other hand is quite different from the Porsche Mission E, well it is an SUV of course but like they announced it will have an electronic suspension for those who want to explore the country road and passing through the rocky mountains. Single gearbox like the most EV’s with all-wheel drive system, and only the front two wheels will serve for better acceleration, the primary power is at the rear wheel but in order to keep the dynamics and the sporty characteristic of the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo. There will be an option to control the all four wheels by the info system from the center console.
